Introduction from Mukul Chawla QC
9-12 Bell Yard applies a single standard to applicants whether for pupillage or tenancy. Chambers only recruits those of "exceptional quality". In the current difficult climate we see no advantage to anyone in recruitment for the sake of it. Our recruitment strategy is long term.
I have been in this set of Chambers since pupillage and can vouch for the fact that it is a friendly, relaxed set and whilst the working atmosphere is professional and focussed it is also congenial. The merit of a big set such as this is that there is always someone around to help and give advice.
9-12 Bell Yard is also a diverse set which encourages applicants from all backgrounds, provided only that they meet our high standards and have a determination to work hard and succeed.
9-12 Bell Yard always welcomes applications for tenancy from candidates of exceptional quality - see Recruitment
