Lawrence has been instructed in many serious cases, including those of great complexity and weight. Being instructed both by the Serious Fraud Office, city firms, HMRC and the Royal Mail in fraud cases and having led for the defence in cases of murder, he has experience in all manner of criminal cases.

R v Steven Wilson - Lewes Crown Court, 2010/2011. Steven Wilson was charged and convicted after his trial of rape, kidnapping, assault, possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, indecent assault. Mr Wilson was 26 when he met a 14 year old girl and began a sexual relationship. Within the context of a consenting relationship, the complainant made allegations of rape and assault. The rape and assault took place over a period of three years between 2001 and 2003. She came forward when another woman made similar allegations in 2010. Defendant was sentenced to serve a sentence of life (IPP) for 20 years and a minimum

R v. Yusupov - Southwark Crown Court, 2010. Yusupov charged with being concerned in multi-national, multi-million pound credit card fraud involving primarily American registered credit cards.

R v. Wooloff - Oxford Crown Court, 2010. Teenager charged with conspiracy to murder. Case involving covert tapes and covert surveillance.

R v. Ummunah - Croydon Crown Court, 2010. Money laundering and international advanced fee fraud.

R v. Abrahams - Southwark Crown Court, 2008 & 2009. Trial and re-trial of five accused of kidnap and false imprisonment.
